Nein, Mein Herr

ree

Ach, meine liebe! I've only just realized that I never posted here about my essay published by Chicago Story Press. You may have seen me perform "Nein, Mein Herr," during Mid-Century Tales, my solo show featured in Scott Whitehair's Solo Sunday Series,. (Along with a fun parody of the song "Mein Herr" from Cabaret, cause,, who could resist?)

It's an unfortunate but sometimes humorous #metoo tale of my experiences with a certain visting conductor while studying voice at the University of Kansas. Like the Awakenings piece, it's an excerpt from my work-in-progress memoir, Fear of Singing.

Many thanks to Anne Beall of Chicago Story Press!

Check out my Instagram for more frequent updates about current performances, writing, and the famous studio kitties Felina Furrante and Houdini the Magnificent. Um, there might be one or two posts on there about protesting the current administration, as well.
